The Weld County Department of Human Services (WCDHS) employs over 450 workers, who have the skills, passion and drive to service Weld County citizens in 31 incorporated municipalities and across almost 4,000 square miles. The Ideal Candidate for the Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division will: 1. Have a clear understanding of how workplace communication increases productivity and efficiency. 2. Ability to work with families in a high stress high trauma environment and remain calm and professional. 5. Someone who looks for opportunities to utilize their skills to improve the functionality and efficiency of the Department. 6. Ability to establish strong relationships with peers and maintain a positive outlook. Serves as the initial engagement point for the Division of Child Welfare. Greets visitors in a courteous, efficient manner, with a focus on customer success. Answers general questions and helps customers. Works collaboratively with, and provides clerical and other support to, other members of the Child Welfare team. Primary location will be at the Case/Annex building, but employee may perform work at one of the other satellite offices when required. Reliable, predictable, attendance Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position is in-person and not eligible for telework options.
