About The Position

THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO CURRENT OKDHS EMPLOYEES ONLY. This position is located in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. Child Welfare Specialist III H23C Annual Salary: $43,968.62 + Full State Employee Benefits Shift-diff pay is paid after standard hours. Applicants who possess a Master's Degree in Social Work will be entitled to a salary incentive of an additional 5%. On-call positions will receive an additional bonus ranging from $100 to $150 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities. Travel is OCCASIONAL. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance. Position serves as a Family Meeting Continuum (FMC) Facilitator in a specialized unit within Region 4. Conducts Child Safety Meetings (CSM) to guide the decision-making process for determining the child’s safety needs and the best intervention strategy during the Child Protective Services (CPS) investigation process. Position plans, facilitates, and documents family meetings throughout the life of the case to provide families with a consistent moderator of family information and case dynamics. Facilitators will act as accountability partners for meeting compliance, timeliness, and quality. OKDHS is a Fair Chance Employer. This is a position in the Oklahoma Civil Service. Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
  • A Master's degree.
  • OR a Bachelor's Degree plus one year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.
  • OR Two years of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist.

  • Preference may be given to a candidate with at least 1 year of experience as a Child Welfare Specialist
