POSITION SUMMARY: The Child Watch Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Child Watch and Adventure Room operations, ensuring a high-quality, safe, and engaging experience for participants and their families. This role provides supervision and direction to staff.

Requirements

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience caring for and leading activities for children age 6 weeks to 12 years.
  • Experience leading and training staff in a child care environment.
  • Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

Responsibilities

  • Implement the child watch and adventure room operating schedules.
  • Manage child watch and adventure room activities, ensuring high-quality childcare.
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, submitting order requests as directed.
  • Responsible for providing a safe and welcoming experience for participants.
  • Supervise, train, and support staff members to uphold program standards and enforce policies.
  • Develop and publish staff schedules; provide coverage during absences as needed.
  • Authorize TAFW and availability change request, ensuring adequate staff coverage at all times.
  • Authorize timesheets to ensure accurate payroll processing. Follow procedures and meets deadlines.
  • Assist with the hiring and selection process.
  • Maintain staff training and certification records.
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of program areas and equipment.
  • Follow and enforce department protocols for cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.
  • Monitor compliance with PPE guidelines.
  • Conduct ongoing safety checks to maintain a safe environment.
  • Enforce safety rules and implement emergency procedures as necessary.
  • Investigate, complete, and submit accident/incident reports as per policy.
  • Respond to member feedback and complaints promptly, implementing solutions to improve participant experiences.
  • Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with participants, parents, and staff.
  • Provide support to the Manage On Duty for family programming and events.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
