About The Position
YOU, Inc. is seeking dedicated Child Supervision Workers to join our team, offering a part-time position at a rate of $18 per hour. The Behavioral Health (BH) Childcare Supervision Worker will play a crucial role in providing temporary childcare for toddlers and children while their parents or guardians attend group events at the Family Resource Center or other YOU, Inc. program events. This position is essential in ensuring that children are safe, engaged, and well-cared for during their parents' participation in various programs. As a Child Supervision Worker, you will be responsible for the safety and well-being of children in your care. This includes supervising children in playroom areas that are in close proximity to their parents or guardians. You will actively monitor and interact with the children during all activities, ensuring a positive and safe environment. Communication with parents and guardians is vital, especially in emergency situations, where you will need to contact them promptly. Additionally, you will be tasked with setting up and maintaining a safe playroom environment, which includes developing a cleaning routine to keep all interactive areas sanitary and safe for the children. Meal preparation and serving will also be part of your responsibilities, where you will need to ensure that parents or guardians consent to all food and beverage choices before serving them to the children. Professionalism and ethical practice are paramount in this role, and you are expected to demonstrate reliability, honesty, integrity, and respectfulness in all interactions. Effective communication, both oral and written, is essential, and you should maintain a neat and professional appearance while on duty. Any issues or concerns related to risk or ethical misconduct must be reported immediately to a supervisor or other licensed senior staff member.
