A Caring Alternative is seeking an experienced director with outstanding people skills to manage our child services departments in the Morganton/Marion/Spruce Pine areas. Duties for the Child Services Director will include providing supervision to Program Managers and Team Leads, plan and incorporate growth, assist with development of program budgets and review monthly financial reports, ensure departments meet productivity targets, ensure departments have all services authorized and billable, oversee the daily operations of the departments and ensure programs are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. The ideal candidate for this role should have an understanding of the community mental health field or other similar work experiences, possess a high work ethics, excellent communication skills and computer literacy. A Caring Alternative, LLC is a CARF accredited service provider with facilities in Asheville, Hickory, Marion, Statesville and Morganton, NC. A Caring Alternative, LLC is CABHA certified and a Trauma Informed Agency. We provide an array of services to Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Catawba, Caldwell, Iredell, McDowell, and Mitchell counties which consist of Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Support Team, Day Treatment, Integrated Care, Intensive In-Home, Medication Management, Outpatient Therapy, and Therapeutic Foster Care. Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work or closely related Human Services area
  • 2 years of professional work experience with population served.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft Office- MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
