Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Human Services or a field related to human service.
• A bachelor's degree unrelated to Human Services and either: One year of Human Services related experience; or Completion of coursework equivalent to certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency.
• An associate degree and either: Two years of Human Services related experience; or One year of Human Services related experience and related training, coursework or certification consistent with Oregon Caseworker Competency.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals regarding alleged child abuse or neglect when an assessment is necessary.
• Complete comprehensive risk and safety assessments.
• Determine whether abuse or neglect has occurred and identify child safety threats.
• Develop protective actions and ongoing safety plans when children would be unsafe without intervention of the agency.
• Review and evaluate ongoing progress.
• Engage with children and families to provide service in a regular, systematic way.
• Advance the agency's goals of becoming trauma-informed, anti-racist, and accessible to all regardless of identity status.
