About The Position

To prepare palatable and nutritious meals to all students in a cost-effective manner and to incorporate concepts of good nutrition as a part of the total educational program.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree and/or five years of management experience in food service or related areas.
• Ability to assist in the implementation of the requirements of the Child Nutrition Program.
• Evidence of ability and skills to provide good nutrition as a part of the total education program.
• Ability to help plan menus and assists in nutrition analysis of menus.
• Ability to monitor facilities working conditions and recommending methods for increased efficiency.
• Ability to plan and conduct staff meetings and workshops for food service personnel and advise managers in preparing requisitions.
• Ability to help coordinate warehouse and vendor deliveries, storing foods, controlling inventories, and keeping up-to-date inventory of USDA commodities.
• Ability to assist in evaluating cafeteria managers and evaluation of school cafeterias.
