Under the direction of the Child Life Manager, the Child Life Tech will collaborate with the Child Life Department to provide technical support and updates for the Child Life Department’s play-based technology in pediatric areas, as well as manage and implement developmentally appropriate play-based interactions, gaming, and technology interventions, both in-person and virtually, for pediatric patients, siblings, and family members to enhance normalization and positive coping. The Child Life Tech will also be responsible developing, implementing, evaluating, and logging technology, donations, and play-based item availability and needs for the Child Life Department. The Child Life Tech will enhance the quality of patient care through play and gaming experiences, documentation, and communication with the health care team. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and updates for the Child Life Department’s play-based technology in pediatric areas
