About The Position

The Child Life Specialist is responsible for assessing, educating, preparing and supporting patients and families in the health care system. The child life specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience. Requirements

  • Minimum of bachelors degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field
  • Completion of child life internship
  • BLS is required within 60 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, preferred within one year of hire
