About The Position

Under the direct supervision of the Child Life Manager, the Child Life Specialist will be responsible for assessing individual patients and facilitating techniques to enhance coping, providing appropriate play opportunities, establishing supportive relationships with patients and their families, and collaborating with other members of the health care team. They will also maintain appropriate records and keep their level of professional knowledge at an acceptable level. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in child Life or closely related field.
  • Completion of Child Life Internship prior to hire.
  • Association of Child Life Professionals (ACLP)- Child Life Certification Exam ready prior to hire.
  • Must receive Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) certification within 1 year of employment.
