About The Position
The Child Life Specialist at Chicago Children's Advocacy Center is responsible for providing a developmentally appropriate and trauma-informed environment for children during the investigative process. This role integrates child life interventions to mitigate stress and discomfort, ensuring children's physical and emotional safety while promoting their understanding of the environment and process. The specialist fosters positive coping through play, education, and therapeutic activities, while also supporting the organization's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Belonging (DEIAB) initiatives.
