Organization: Child Life Services Job Summary: JOB SUMMARY: Supports the work of child life specialists in meeting psychosocial and developmental needs of children and families to reduce the stress and anxiety accompanying hospitalization and other health care encounters. . This Child Life Assistant will provide direct patient care in our Pediatric playrooms. They will provide therapeutic play for normalization, meeting developmental needs of children and adolescents; promotes coping with patient and family including siblings. Supervises playroom volunteers for bedside, comfort cart, book cart, and other areas.

- Orients, trains, and supervises child life volunteers and student workers.
