About The Position

Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on Compass Health Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely. About This Role At the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As a group therapist in our Child Program, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. Requirements

  • 1+ years of post master’s experience preferred
  • Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer a candidate that holds the following licenses or certifications or will require supervision towards: LCSW, LCPC, LPC, LSW, PsyD, or PhD

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups, working with patients aged 8-13 years old
  • Providing crisis intervention and staff support, as needed
  • Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly update
  • Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups
  • Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls
  • Checking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patients
  • Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings
  • Providing individual support to patients, as needed
  • Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups
  • Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction
  • Participating in discharge planning for patients
  • Other duties, as assigned
