About The Position

The Early Childhood Teacher works as a team member to provide a safe and secure environment to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development as part of our National Accredited for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Early Childhood Development Center. The Teacher is responsible for co-teaching with other educators in the center, organizing and planning a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines and Community Care Licensing Requirements for all age-groups in the Early Childhood Directions Program. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field.
  • 24 Semester units of Early Childhood Education including all CORE classes + Infant and Toddler Development Class.
  • Child Development.
  • Principles & Practices in ECE.
  • Introduction to Curriculum.
  • The Child, Family & Community.
  • 3 Units of Infant/Toddler Development.
  • Supervised Field Experience.
  • Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit.
  • Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services.
  • 2 years working with preschool age-children.
  • 6 months Supervised Field Experience in Early Childhood Setting.
  • 6 months working with Infants and Toddlers.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Related Field.
