About The Position

The Child Development/Early Childhood Education Associate (Part-time) Instructor Pool at MiraCosta College is a temporary position aimed at building a pool of instructors for potential future part-time assignments across various locations. Requirements

• Master's degree in child development, early childhood education, or a related field; or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with a Master's in a relevant area.
• Sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and develop instructional materials including presentations, lectures, and assignments.

• Maintain accurate course records and submit grades by established deadlines.
• Be available to students for assistance and maintain a flexible schedule to meet their needs.

• Stay current in academic discipline and maintain necessary certifications.

Benefits

• Compensation ranging from $87.60 to $101.54 per hour based on education and experience.
