About The Position

The Child Development Aide III position at Georgia State University involves providing administrative support and performing advanced childcare duties under the supervision of a Child Development Specialist. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with young or preschool children in a childcare setting, or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • A criminal background check is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children aged birth through 5 years old.
  • Experience working in a NAEYC accredited center.
  • Experience working in a quality rated childcare center.

Responsibilities

  • Open or close the Lanette Suttles Child Development Center as needed.
  • Supervise student assistants and/or interns.
  • Assist classroom staff with lesson planning, activities, and classroom coverage when needed.
  • Provide coverage in classrooms and/or the front desk in the absence of regularly scheduled staff members.
  • Support management of the front desk/front office, including maintaining records and operating office equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
