The Department is seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Development Aide IIII to join our team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and two years of experience working with young or preschool children in a childcare setting, or an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • A criminal background check required.

  • Ability to lift small children

Responsibilities

  • Assists with planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children aged birth through five as needed.
  • Establishes and maintain computer and physical files of various records as needed.
  • Operates office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, etc. to complete assignments as needed. Answer telephones and provides information, contacts parents, and opens or closes the center, as needed.
  • Performs one or more of the following duties as needed. Providing physical care for children aged birth through 5. This includes feeding, diapering, toilet training, hand washing, dressing, doing laundry, changing bed linen, washing toys, sweeping floors, rocking or patting to sleep, assuring physical safety by maintaining constant supervision by sight and sound.
