Child Care Worker
About The Position
The Lookout Mountain Club is seeking a reliable and caring Child Care Worker to join our team and help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children. In this role, you will supervise daily activities, lead age-appropriate games and learning experiences, and support children’s social, emotional, and physical development. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care, maintaining a clean and organized environment, and preparing snacks or meals as needed. You will also communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child’s day, progress, and any concerns. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and energetic, with strong communication skills and a genuine passion for working with children. Previous childcare experience is preferred. Provide a comfortable, safe and non-threatening environment for children. Firmly but fairly discipline children, help them control disruptive behavior and teach them good habits when necessary. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
