Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift 40 lbs.
• Experience with children, particularly in toddler care and special education.

Responsibilities

• Promote developmental learning by providing appropriate daily play activities.
• Promote increased independence in activities of daily living.
• Participate in outdoor play activities.
• Collaborate with therapists and supervisory staff to set reachable and attainable goals for children.
• Communicate with parents and keep them informed about their child's development and daily routine.
• Provide continuous supervision of children enrolled at a ratio of one teacher assistant/child care worker to every three children, ensuring their health and safety.
• Assist with maintaining the room and play areas in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Document daily observations of children's behavior and activities.
• Maintain appropriate confidential records.
• Act as a role model to children, and maintain a professional child care team member demeanor.
