About The Position

A to Z Building Blocks Early Care & Education is hiring a dependable Child Care Teacher / Teacher Assistant who has full-time flexibility and can support classrooms throughout the day in our daycare and preschool. Job Summary Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing a research-based curriculum while creating a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment. You will help children develop emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically while supporting strong relationships with families.

Requirements

Full-time flexibility is required
Comfortable floating/supporting classrooms as needed throughout the day
Patient, caring, and dependable
Positive team player with strong communication skills
Calm and confident in a busy daycare/preschool environment
Able to multitask, stay organized, and work well under pressure
CPR/First Aid and Food Handlers Permit (or willingness to obtain)
Willing to complete required child care training hours
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and move comfortably throughout the day

Responsibilities

Support children in toddler, twos, preschool, and school-age classrooms
Assist with learning centers, circle time, sensory play, art, and structured activities
Help with meals/snacks, hygiene routines, diapering, and potty training
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe classroom (daily cleaning included)
Communicate and collaborate with your classroom team and families
Follow Utah child care licensing rules, health and safety guidelines, and center procedures
Remain calm and respond appropriately in emergencies
Maintain consistent, reliable, and punctual attendance
