About The Position
As a Child Care Teacher at Davis Child Care Center in Oshkosh, WI, you will play a pivotal role in the development and education of children aged three years. Your primary responsibility will be to function as a leader on the teaching team, serving as a positive role model for the children in your care. You will be tasked with redirecting children into group activities or towards materials they are using, while also understanding how each child responds to stress and success. It is essential to carry out the stated goals, philosophy, policies, and procedures established by the Davis Board of Directors. In this role, you will conduct the planning and implementation of the program curriculum, develop individual goals for each child, evaluate their progress, and ensure that a multicultural component is integrated within the curriculum. Daily responsibilities will include performing health observations, reporting any special needs, and supervising children during free play, outdoor play, toileting, napping, and other daily care activities in a positive and appropriate manner. Additionally, you will prepare and conduct parent conferences, organize events and activities, and undertake any other duties as assigned by the center. This position requires a commitment to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. You will work closely with other educators and staff to create a supportive and engaging atmosphere for both children and their families.
