About The Position

As an on-call Substitute, you’ll enjoy flexibility and may have the opportunity to work in different centers and with various age groups. Bright Horizons is the leader in the most important trend in work-site child care - providing solutions that meet emergency child care needs and offer flexible child care arrangements for travel, conferences, school vacations, and inclement weather days. Back-up child care supplements families' regular child care arrangements. As our back-up centers are designed to meet the changing needs of working families, an individual child may attend one day per month, every day of spring break, or more frequently. Our teachers ensure that regardless of how many days children are in our care, they are welcomed enthusiastically, engage in high-quality curriculum, and have their individual needs met. Requirements
- Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
- 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
- Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
