About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma is required
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare’s vehicle insurance is required
• CPR Certification and First Aid Certification

Responsibilities

• Implement child development services, including but not limited to individualized educational and developmental plans, curriculum, daily schedules and lesson plans;
• Tend to children’s immediate needs while in daycare setting (feedings, changing) and ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children in the facility;
• Assure center and records adhere to all agency and county standards, health department standards and funding requirements;
• Act as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing information regarding parent/child interactions and making needed or necessary recommendations and/or referrals as requested by the Project Manager;
• Confer with family members, significant others, staff, and the Project Manager regarding the childs special needs as necessary;
• Document childs behavior and concerns while in daycare setting in progress notes;
• Assist and monitor data collection and statistical reporting and complete Quality Improvement reports as requested;
• Participate in case staffing when necessary;
• Must Embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation; and
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
