Purpose To care for and teach young children in a child care environment. Responsible for providing a variety of functions in care giving and teaching in a child care learning environment. No Sponsorship Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
Requirements
- High school graduation or GED.
- One year of experience working with young children in a licensed child care center.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Nice To Haves
- Hands on experience leading 0-5 year olds.
- Formal training in a child related field.
- Previous experience working in an accredited center.
- Previous lead teacher experience teaching pre-k.
- Stable work history.
- Bilingual a plus.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
- Supervise and care for children in the 3-5 year age range both indoors and outdoors.
- Communicate daily with parents.
- Supervise assistant.
