Purpose To care for and teach young children in a child care environment. Responsible for providing a variety of functions in care giving and teaching in a child care learning environment. No Sponsorship Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • One year of experience working with young children in a licensed child care center.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience leading 0-5 year olds.
  • Formal training in a child related field.
  • Previous experience working in an accredited center.
  • Previous lead teacher experience teaching pre-k.
  • Stable work history.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
  • Supervise and care for children in the 3-5 year age range both indoors and outdoors.
  • Communicate daily with parents.
  • Supervise assistant.
