About The Position

Hours: Part-time positions available Monday – Friday 6:30 am - 8:30 a.m. / 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Additional hours may vary on ½ day, no school days and school breaks between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned) : Child supervision Able to watch 10 children at a time (10:1 ratio) Follow posted lesson plans Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks Follow daily classroom schedule Greeting parents and children upon arrival and dismissal Use of appropriate tones with the children Always be loving and nurturing to all children Interact with children Lunch and snack preparation and clean-up Keep children clean: especially hands and faces Keep toys and classroom items clean and in good condition Monitor play between children, stepping in when needed Keep all foods labeled and stored properly Attend monthly staff meetings and other necessary training sessions Be professional in appearance and demeanor Come prepared for work on time Follow staff schedule, being flexible when needed Keep head count known for children at all times Talk with parents on child’s day to day behaviors Follow licensing rules and regulations Follow Treehouse rules and regulations Answer phones, parent inquiries/concerns as needed Keep accurate attendance records

Requirements

  • Experience in childcare preferred
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid required
  • Submission of a negative Tuberculosis test.
  • Completion of fingerprinting in accordance with Michigan State Licensing requirements as well as MDE for school employment.
  • Completion of annual Professional Development
