Your Opportunity: Golden Heart Child Care Center, a Taylor Corporation company in North Mankato, MN, is seeking a Child Care Center Teacher to join our infant and toddler team. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting the educational and physical needs of each child, treating every child with dignity and respect, and building positive relationships with parents. This position also supports the implementation and continuation of the center program in the absence of the coordinator. Requirements

  • Credits to meet Minnesota DHS Assistant Teacher qualifications
  • Minimum two-year degree that meets Department of Human Services requirements
  • Willingness to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the center’s policies and philosophy
  • Ability to see and hear ongoing activities of children
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain on your feet in a stationary position
  • Frequently required to move throughout the facility
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to respond quickly to the needs of children in a classroom environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and implementing daily programs under the direction of the coordinator
  • Plan and carry out developmentally appropriate activities for assigned age groups
  • Meet the educational and physical needs of each individual child
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment by observing appropriate equipment for children’s developmental levels
  • Provide input for parent conferences to discuss child progress and address any concerns
  • Observe, record, and report individual and group behavior as assigned
