About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Experience assisting clients with withdrawal or substance abuse issues.
  • Experience in a homeless services setting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Crisis intervention skills.
  • Empathy and compassion for individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, Google).
  • Valid driver's license and strong driving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crisis management protocols.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a variety of activities for clients and children.
  • Monitor and record physical, emotional, mental, and potential health issues with clients, communicating symptoms to detox staff.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and respect client confidentiality.
  • Assist clients with daily tasks and responsibilities.
  • Safely transport residents to appointments and off-site activities as required.
  • Organize and arrange files accurately.
  • Oversee the coordination and supervision of child care services within the residential program.
  • Conduct UA testing for clients as needed.
  • Oversee client chores by assigning tasks and assisting with facility upkeep.
  • Recognize and respond to emergency situations, including overdoses, and de-escalate tense situations.
  • Notify the manager of work orders or supplies needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete training and timecards accurately.
