The Child Care Cook, under supervision, provides children a well-balanced, nourishing meal at both breakfast and lunch. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Must follow Child Care Licensing and NAC Standards Prepares meals and snacks in accordance with United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and sanitation requirements. Wraps, arranges, and/or packages items to serve to children. Plans and update menus quarterly in accordance with USDA requirements. Ensures USDA food program records are accurate and submitted on time. Maintains adequate inventory levels of groceries and supplies. Maintains a cleanly and orderly kitchen and lunchroom area. Purchases groceries and supplies weekly from local grocery suppliers and stores. Serves meals daily at designated times for each age group. Submit receipts and prepares monthly purchasing report.
