About The Position
This role is more than just a daycare job; it's a journey of learning, growth, and thriving within a childcare center. The Child Care Cook, Food Specialist, is primarily responsible for the overall food preparation for the school’s enrolled children. This position requires adaptability to menu changes and the ability to meet meal and snack schedules consistently. As a Food Specialist, the individual will be comfortable in a kitchen environment, creating nutritional, home-style meal plans within the school's budget and adhering to state and federal requirements.

- Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

- Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility
Responsibilities
- Create home-style, nutritional meal plans in the boundaries of their school's menu and budget, as well as state and federal requirements
- Prepare meals/snacks for children and staff and distribute food to the classrooms
- Follow the daily menu provided by the Director which incorporates USDA, licensing, and/or health department regulations
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies and order more when needed
- Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater
