The Child Care Closer position at Southside Christian Childcare and Preschool involves creating a safe and nurturing environment for children during the evening hours. Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times.
• Provide care for children's basic needs.
• Engage in playtime activities that encourage creativity and social interaction among children.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child on their day by providing their daily gram.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, turn off all lights, lock the doors.
• Help with the transition from nap time to snack time.
• Be able to take over a classroom to let teachers go as their shift is ending and combine room within ratios.
• Sign children in and out on the tablets.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles.
• Experience in babysitting, caregiving, or nannying roles is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage a classroom setting effectively if applicable.
• Experience working with children of various ages, including those with special needs or disabilities.
• Excellent communication skills to interact positively with both children and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children in a meaningful way.
• Creativity in developing engaging activities that cater to different learning styles.
