About The Position

The Child Care Center Director is a leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of the child care center's operations, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, managing staff development, and fostering a safe and enriching environment for children and families. This individual will create a positive and dynamic culture, guide the center to excellence, and support both the personal and professional growth of staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Child Care Center Director or in a leadership role within child care.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with parents and staff while maintaining a positive environment for all.
• CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Nice To Haves

• Child Development Certificate preferred.
• Child Education Specialist's Certificate/Diploma preferred.
• Child Development Associate's Certificate/Certificate preferred.
• Child Care Certified preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the center operates in compliance with state and local regulations.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs and maintain necessary records.
• Build strong relationships with parents through regular communication, parent meetings, and tours.
• Track inquiries and follow up on absences.
• Lead and support staff through training and ongoing professional development.
• Ensure staff meet training requirements and maintain a positive work environment.
• Ensure a safe environment for children, including regular safety drills and health record maintenance.
• Manage staff schedules, maintain records (attendance, student, and staff), and handle communication with parents and staff.
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure educational programs align with developmental needs and state standards.
