About The Position

Bring your cooking talents and kitchen management skills as a Cook / Chef at Bright Horizons. You’ll plan menus, prepare meals, and order inventory as you make a real difference in the lives of children, families, and staff. Our beautiful center is located USAA Child Development Center 4800 USAA Blvd. San Antonio, TX 78240 Full-time cook preferred shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-4:00pm

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
• At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
• Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen required
• Food service/food handler permit or license according to state/local regulations required

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff.
• Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed.
• Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements.
