About The Position

The Child Care Attendant is responsible for the care of infants and children in various nursery work areas at the Del E. Webb Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. This position requires maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy child care environment while providing excellent customer service. The attendant will engage children in both indoor and outdoor activities, communicate effectively with parents, and ensure a positive experience for both children and their guardians.

Requirements

• High School student 16 years of age or older.
• CPR certification through American Heart Association: BLS or Heartsaver with AED or American Red Cross with AED.
• Caring, nurturing, being alert and able to adapt quickly to changing situations, patience.
• Ability to hear children in case of emergencies and smell for any potential dangerous situations.

Nice To Haves

• Pass babysitting certification course.
• Prefer at least one year's experience in childcare.
• Demonstrates good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for children which involves indoor and outdoor activities.
• Communicate orally in person and on the phone, in writing to customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment for infants and preschool children.
• Be alert at all times with the ability to see any potential dangerous situations.
• Demonstrate positive and professional personal relations in dealing with children, members, and guests.
• Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations in dealing with co-workers, managers/supervisors, and other members of the staff.
• Provide excellent customer service and adhere to the Behavioral Expectation Agreement.
• Attend mandatory staff meetings.
• Provide daily care for preschool children, including safe outdoor and indoor activities.
• Maintain a service that satisfies both parents and children.
• Keep track of child reservations and communicate effectively with parents.
• Wash toys and linens, check and maintain supplies, and perform other duties as assigned.
