About The Position

The Child Care Attendant at the Durant Wellness Center is responsible for providing a safe, fun, and interactive environment for children in the childcare area. This part-time position requires supervising children, ensuring their safety, and engaging them in activities while addressing their needs and concerns. The role reports to the Facility Supervisor and is essential in delivering a positive experience for both children and their parents.

Requirements

• CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire.
• Patience in dealing with children, parents, and other members.
• Ability to administer first aid to children following Wellness policy.
• Enthusiastic attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities of assigned children within the childcare area and ensure child remains in designated area.
• Provide childcare to children including paging parent/guardian if necessary to assist with discipline issues or attending to personal needs (i.e., diaper changing).
• Entertain children with games or other approved activities.
• Ensure parent signs, and receive a signed copy, of childcare agreement and answer any questions regarding procedures.
• Perform general cleaning tasks in the childcare area.
• Verify individual checking child in/out is listed in the child's KidCheck account.
• Other responsibilities as assigned within scope and competency of associate.
