About The Position

Powerback is seeking a dedicated Child Behavior Technician to improve the lives of children with autism in the community. The role involves an intense, paid training program to become a Behavior Technician, where individuals will learn to implement Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavior Technician (RBT) will use ABA techniques to encourage, support, and challenge children to reach new milestones. ABA Therapy is a growing field, offering the chance to work one-on-one with children of all ages and across the Autism spectrum. Requirements

  • 18 years old with a HS Diploma or GED.
  • Passion for working with children, especially those with neuro-divergent behaviors.
  • Minimum 1 year working with children.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Completion of 40 hour Registered Behavior Technician training. If training has not been previously completed, training will be provided by Powerback Pediatrics.
  • Willingness to obtain RBT certification through BACB.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering one-on-one ABA therapy services to children with autism.
  • Encourage, support, and challenge these children to reach new milestones by teaching new skill acquisition and behavior modification.
  • Works 1:1 with a child in performing ABA therapy, following the guidance in the behavior treatment plan and under the direction of a supervising clinician.
  • Ensures all billing is submitted in a timely fashion and the documentation accurately supports the services rendered.
  • Updates working availability in the EMR platform and communicates availability changes with their Client Advocate.
  • Communicates regularly with Client Advocate and Supervisor as it relates to assigned client(s).
  • Complies with and follows the BACB code of ethics as it relates to service delivery and professionalism.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
