This position is responsible for administrative and clinical supervision of Child & Youth services staff and will assist in planning, organizing, and monitoring of the Child & Youth services. This position will provide supervisory oversight to outpatient therapy, crisis, school based services and case management. This position will also provide direct care to a small case load. Participate in treatment team meetings with psychiatrist and other children services team members. This position will review all electronic records for client caseload including treatment plans, quarterly evaluations and outside reports and correspondence when necessary. This position will complete all Medicaid authorizations for clients on caseload who have Medicaid insurance. Participate in agency committees and/or State, local, and VACSB workgroups as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of: Planning, evaluating, supervising and coordinating the work of program staff Program development, effective deployment of staff resources, fiscal processes, conflict management and problem solving Diagnostic criteria of the DSM-V. Legal rights including HIPPA, 42 CRF Part 2, consumer rights, and human rights. knowledge of treating serious mental illness and substance use disorders, and the best practices for providing clinically effective services. Behavior Management, counseling techniques/approaches, and crisis intervention strategies. Community resources and referral. Electronic Health record documentation policies and procedures. Legal rights including HIPPA, confidentiality of records, human rights, professional code of ethics. Insurance authorization requirements and procedure codes. Person Centered Planning. Use of computer applications, use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic office equipment to include fax, scanner, copier, and telephone. Skill of: Develop appropriate person centered treatment plans. Complete all required clinical documentation required by insurance companies. Schedule appointments in accordance with the agency's procedure codes which are covered under insurance authorizations. Maintain required confidentiality. Possess skills in supervision and management. Ability to: Effectively communicate, written, and verbal skills to include developing and maintaining cooperative and effective work relationships. Complete all required documentation as required by AHCS, Medicaid and licensure guidelines within designated timeframes. Maintain flexible schedule.
