About The Position

Crossnore Communities for Children is seeking a Child and Family Therapist to join our supportive team on our Winston-Salem, NC campus. In this role, you'll bring compassion, cultural responsiveness, and clinical expertise to serve children, youth, and families, helping them find hope and healing after trauma. Associate level and fully licensed candidates encouraged to apply. In this role, you directly support children and families navigating trauma, transition, and healing-providing therapy that strengthens relationships, restores stability, and helps build the skills needed to thrive. Whether working with youth on campus, in the community, or in schools, you help create safe, trauma-informed spaces where healing is possible and futures are rebuilt. Crossnore invests in its clinical team with robust training, supervision, and opportunities for advanced certifications such as TF-CBT, EMDR, and Play Therapy. Requirements

  • Must have a valid and active license in one of the following areas: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT); fully licensed preferred; Provisional or Associate License required.
  • Experience as a therapist working with children and families, in a mental health setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized service plans that guide treatment and align with client needs.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
  • Complete assessments, treatment plan updates, and clinical evaluations.
  • Lead or participate in treatment team meetings, psychiatric consultations, and interdisciplinary staffing.
  • Participate in a shared 24/7 clinical on-call rotation for crisis support.
  • Engage in ongoing education, research, and supervision to enhance clinical skills.
  • Serve as a resource for referrals, family support, and connection to community services.
  • Support program development through participation in agency and community committees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical, legal, and accreditation standards.
  • Provide clinical training to staff on diagnoses, interventions, and trauma-informed care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation including session notes, billing, authorizations, and compliance requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with youth, families, coworkers, school staff, and community partners.
  • Collaborate with Admissions, Case Management, direct care staff, and external treatment providers.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, conflict resolution, and team-based problem solving.
