About The Position

We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychologist to join our clinical faculty and serve on our clinical team at Children’s Health, Dallas. This position will provide outpatient behavioral health care to children and adolescents with a range of emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs. The primary role and responsibility will be in UT Southwestern and Children’s Health℠ Center for Autism Care, a collaboration between UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Health, providing comprehensive interdisciplinary care to children with Autism Spectrum and related neurodevelopmental disorders and their families. The Center maintains a multidisciplinary evaluation and treatment service, including providers from the following disciplines: psychiatry, psychology, neurodevelopmental neurology, speech pathology, behavior analysis, and social work. This position provides outpatient direct patient care to children and adolescents with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Additionally, the role includes participation in interdisciplinary diagnostic evaluations of children suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder from 1-18 years of age, with a special focus on early diagnosis (0-3). The position includes opportunities for supervision of psychology interns, psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, pre- and post-doctoral trainees, and participation in the overall academic mission of the department. Involvement in research is encouraged, and many opportunities exist for collaborative research and involvement in our APA accredited doctoral and internship programs in Clinical Psychology. The ideal candidate will have direct patient care experience with assessment and treatment of children and adolescents with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited program and have completed an APA accredited internship. Highly competitive candidates will have experience in providing bilingual assessments and Spanish‐speaking candidates are particularly encouraged to apply. While Texas licensure is not for consideration or selection , it is a pre-requisite for starting in the position. It is expected that the incumbent will seek board certification after their appointment. Requirements

  • Eligible candidates must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or School Psychology from an APA accredited program
