About The Position

Parkridge Valley Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee is seeking one child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our employed psychiatry group for a 100% inpatient position in our child and adolescent facility. The position involves providing inpatient care to individuals under the age of 18, focusing on treatment for anxiety, depression, co-morbid substance abuse issues, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and others. Services include medication management, supportive medical care, group therapy, activities therapy, and discharge planning.

Requirements

• Child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship
• Board eligible or board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Tennessee psychiatry license or ability to obtain one
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% inpatient care for child and adolescent patients.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans for patients under 18.
• Administer medication management and supportive medical care.
• Facilitate group therapy and activities therapy sessions.
• Participate in discharge planning for patients.
