About The Position

Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - Kern County, CA ( #R10041 ) Must have board certification or board eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to fill an opening in the KernBHRS department that provides specialty behavioral health services to Medi-Cal recipients and uninsured, located in Kern County, CA. The Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists deliver trauma-informed care to minors with developmental disorders, mood dysregulation, and school-related behavioral challenges. This role involves forensic evaluations for dependency cases and collaboration with Kern County schools and juvenile justice systems. Requirements

Must have an active California Medical License
American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certified
Must be DEA Certified
Must have board certification or board eligibility in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Responsibilities

Conduct ADHD diagnostic evaluations using Vanderbilt scales and implement school-based 504/IEP accommodations.
Manage psychopharmacology for autism spectrum disorders (ASD), including FDA-approved medications for irritability (e.g., aripiprazole) while coordinating with ABA therapists.
Perform court-ordered evaluations for child welfare cases, including assessments of parental competency and trauma-related dissociative symptoms.
Supervise Child Psychiatry Fellows in crisis intervention techniques for suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviors.
