About The Position

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Child & Adolescent Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to provide comprehensive medical care services at the Gary Pavilion of Children's Hospital Colorado. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to deliver patient-centered care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health promotion for pediatric patients and their families.

Requirements

• Must possess a Colorado RN license and Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or equivalent certification.
• Prescriptive authority is required.
• PA applicants must be nationally certified by the NCCPA and have passed the Psychiatry Specialty Exam (CAQ).
• Prior experience in a Child Psychiatric setting is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent healthcare services as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients.
• Manage care coordination and education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to ensure quality patient care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Deliver compassionate and effective care throughout the lifespan.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and agencies.
