About The Position

Our client is a rapidly growing proprietary trading firm generating $300M in revenue. With a team of 60 and a dedicated external tech team of 14, we are revolutionizing the prop trading industry by scaling our trading platform for the future. Our goal is to deliver a high-performance, ultra-reliable trading system that can support exponential growth while maintaining the agility of a startup.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of high-frequency trading (HFT) systems – familiarity with low-latency execution, order matching, risk management, and market data processing.
• Experience in building or significantly scaling high-throughput transactional systems that process tens of thousands of transactions per second.
• Proficiency in C# – hands-on experience is critical, with bonus points for low-latency programming, networking, and performance tuning.
• Well-versed in cloud-native development and infrastructure using AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience designing, optimizing, and securing APIs for high-performance data exchange.

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of the proprietary trading industry – experience in futures trading or financial technology would be advantageous.
• Ability to de-risk and future-proof the platform by creating a roadmap that eliminates single points of failure and ensures long-term stability.
• Clear communication skills to explain technical strategies to non-technical executives, investors, and key business partners.

Responsibilities

• Defining and executing a technical strategy to scale our platform from 1,500 transactions per hour to 50,000 transactions per hour, ensuring low latency, high availability, and fault tolerance.
• Building and leading an in-house tech team (US-based or global) to reduce reliance on third-party development teams.
• Architecting and optimizing a scalable infrastructure using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Developing and enforcing best practices for software development, DevOps, security, and high-frequency trading (HFT) systems.
• Ensuring system reliability and performance, implementing stress tests, monitoring tools, and establishing strict SLAs for transaction execution.
• Collaborating with executives and investors to align technology strategy with business growth objectives.
• Reducing external dependencies by developing proprietary trading technology that provides TPT with a competitive edge.
