About The Position

The Company is an early-stage cybersecurity startup seeking a proven executive to lead its end-to-end technology organization as Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”). The CTO will build and lead a globally distributed technology team and work alongside world class peers in the Executive Leadership Team. Developing the product and technology vision and roadmap and aligning it with the Company's progressive and innovative business strategy, the CTO will be an inspiring leader who is responsible for developing a combination of product, platform, and technology services that will drive revenue and value creation for the global business. The CTO will have full oversight over product, engineering, enterprise architecture, corporate systems, and technology infrastructure. Additionally, s/he will ultimately be in charge of Research and Development (R D) and should be well-versed in AI/ML, fostering a highly collaborative relationship with the R D leadership team.

Requirements

• 15+ years of relevant experience in an enterprise software or cybersecurity company.
• 10+ years in a leadership role with a strong record of building teams through leadership, direction, and coaching.
• Ability to develop a technology vision and strategies that can be operationalized and are commercially sustainable.
• Working knowledge in architecture, design, software development, database management systems, and systems in multi-platform environments.
• Extensive experience managing an engineering team in a B2B SaaS business and digital platforms of relevant scale.
• Prior experience in start-up software or cybersecurity company required.
• Expert knowledge of current technology trends, best practices, and talent management.
• Strong analytical skills with the proven capability to use data to drive business decisions.
• Outstanding communication skills, verbal and written, and strong executive presence and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in AI and ML from both engineering and product perspectives.
• Experience in international markets, including launching new business operations.
• Experience in advanced technology, cybersecurity, FinTech and AI-driven products.

Responsibilities

• Implement overall engineering strategy, technology, process, and human capital capable of supporting scalable, functional, and reliable product offerings that increase the Company's success.
• Define a strategic vision that enables the Company's suite of products to create the greatest impact and growth.
• Develop, maintain and execute against the technology roadmap and prioritize activities to align with business requirements as set forth by the Executive Leadership Team.
• Build strong working relationships with other executive leaders who are key stakeholders.
• Execute a strategy to engineer the capabilities and services in and around the company's AI medium at the speed of design and creativity.
• Help enable a strong R D culture that partners deeply with business opportunities to generate extraordinary product and competitive market advantages.
• Manage and oversee the entire enterprise technology portfolio including corporate IT systems, vendor relationships, system support and infrastructure.
• Establish effective decision-making and investment plans for major technology projects and initiatives.
• Monitor and maintain close strategic relationships with existing and future technology vendors.
• Provide enterprise-wide technology leadership across all business units and shared services.
• Maintain a strong grasp of industry trends, cutting-edge technology and both AI and cybersecurity changes.
• Drive and develop an exceptional level of excellence in technical craft within the engineering organization.
