About The Position

SAIC is hiring a Chief Software Engineer to support the S3I Army Interoperability Lab (SAIL) in support of the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate at Redstone Arsenal, AL. The Chief Software Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs application software. Conducts analysis and collaborates with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for information storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display, or reporting. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops autonomous services, desktop applications, web applications, scripts, and utility programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and eighteen (18) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
• Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain.
• US Citizenship required.
• Software architecture.
• Multithreading.

• Windows.
• Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC).
• Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Python.
• Installshield.
• Serial and socket programming interfaces.
• Tactical Data Links.
• DoD 10 Years of Experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with reusable software modules for Tactical Data Links such as Link-16, JREAP, VMF, TENA, JREAP, and Mil-Std-188-220D.
• Experience with C++ on Linux and Windows.
• Jenkins Groovy.
• GitLab YAML.
• Eclipse.
• Microsoft Visual Studio.
