Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an experienced technical professional with a track record of national-level leadership success for the role of Chief Science and Technology Officer (CSTO) for our Energy & Environment Science & Technology (EES&T) Directorate. Our team works a 9x80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every other Friday off. You will report to the Associate Lab Director. The CSTO provides scientific and strategic leadership for EES&T and serves as a senior adviser to the Associate Laboratory Director (ALD). EES&T is dedicated to propelling the nation's energy future through a comprehensive approach that covers a wide range of innovative fields, from fundamental science to applied energy research. Our focus areas include: Integrated Energy Systems, Critical Minerals and Materials, Advanced Manufacturing, Autonomous Systems, Biomass and Waste Feedstocks, Distributed Energy Systems, Thermal and Chemical Systems, and Transportation and Energy Storage. These dynamic research areas form the backbone of our strategy, which is designed to accelerate innovation from early-stage research to pilot-scale demonstration.
