About The Position

The Bureau of Maternal, Child, and Family Health (BMCFH) is organized to support families by improving birth outcomes and the health status of women, infants, children, and youth, including children and youth with complex health care needs. Using data and proven practice, the bureau’s programs support the delivery of direct services, linkages and referrals, population-based supports, program evaluation, education, monitoring and quality oversight, and policy and systems development. The Program Administrator 2 will work under administrative direction to provide program direction by relieving the supervisor of variety of administrative duties, and to formulate and implement program policy.

Requirements

  • 4 yrs. trg. or 4 yrs. exp. in business administration management science or public administration.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in business administration, management science or public administration AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in academic field commensurate with program area to be assigned per approved Position Description on file AND 2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in supervisory, administrative &/or managerial position or staff position involving planning, research &/or policy/procedure development.
  • Or 1 yr. exp. as Program Administrator 1, 63122.

  • Official educational transcripts are required for all post-high school educational accomplishments, coursework or degrees claimed on the application.

Responsibilities

  • Lead program planning, policy execution, and grant administration.
  • Manage contracts, Request For Proposals (RFP'S), funding agreements, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-agency partners, stakeholders, and public health teams.
  • Analyze program performance, oversee surveys and present results.
  • Prepare reports, position papers, assessments, and executive summaries.
  • Manage program information, documentation and digital updates.
  • Respond to inquiries, provide guidance, and represent the bureau in meetings.
  • Support budgeting, expenditure approvals, and grant system processing.
