About The Position

The Chief Psychiatrist will supervise employees in the classification of Staff Psychiatrist and oversee psychiatric care in the institution. This includes developing and implementing psychiatric program services, recruiting and training psychiatric staff, providing psychiatric intervention, maintaining a quality management program for psychiatry, and consulting as part of the interdisciplinary treatment teams. The position is under the administrative direction of the Chief Executive Officer and the clinical direction of the Headquarters Chief Psychiatrist and Regional Mental Health Director.

Requirements

• Possession of a current/valid license or certificate as a Psychiatrist in California.
• Meet the Minimum Qualifications as specified in the Class Specification.
