About The Position

The Propulsion Chief Engineer is the technical leader responsible for guiding the development, integration, and validation of propulsion systems across the organization. This role provides end-to-end oversight of propulsion system architecture, ensuring technical excellence, cross-functional alignment, and delivery of high-performance, safe, and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in propulsion system development, including leadership of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong technical foundation in electrified powertrain architecture, integration, and validation.
  • Proven ability to balance high-level strategy with detailed technical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own propulsion system architecture, ensuring alignment across energy storage, thermal, driveline, calibration, and high-voltage domains.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and decision-making support for propulsion engineers and managers.
  • Drive cross-functional integration of hardware, software, and controls to deliver robust and optimized propulsion solutions.
  • Lead technical reviews, gate readiness assessments, and risk evaluations to ensure program success.
  • Represent propulsion engineering in executive discussions, program reviews, and external stakeholder engagements.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to guide long-term propulsion strategy.
