About The Position
Due to the planned retirement of the current incumbent, the Court is seeking well qualified applicants for the position of Chief U.S. Probation Officer for the Eastern District of California. Individuals from all sources, both within and outside the federal judiciary, are encouraged to apply. The candidate selected for the position will be expected to commence employment either on or within a reasonable period after March 2, 2026. The Court will consider the selected candidate's preference for a duty station in either Sacramento or Fresno and the salary of the position will be dependent on the location assigned.
