About The Position

The Chief People Officer (CPO) at the Massachusetts Port Authority is a visionary leader responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive human resources strategy. This role is pivotal in positioning the Authority as an employer of choice by driving workforce innovation, fostering inclusivity, and championing excellence across all HR functions. The CPO will oversee various HR efforts, ensuring alignment between HR strategies and organizational goals while addressing evolving workforce expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of HR leadership experience, including in unionized environments.
  • Proven track record in DEI, labor relations, and workforce innovation.
  • Expertise in HR analytics, policy development, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the Authority's comprehensive human resources strategy.
  • Work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, and executive leadership to position the Authority as an employer of choice.
  • Drive workforce innovation and foster inclusivity within the organization.
  • Champion excellence across all HR functions, including talent acquisition and employee relations.
  • Oversee DEI initiatives, workforce planning, and benefits administration.
  • Ensure alignment between HR strategies and organizational goals.
  • Leverage innovation to address evolving workforce expectations.
